Description:
D-Day is a turning point in modern history and this kid-friendly full day excursion is the best way to help everyone understand what happened on June 6th, 1944. Your private, experienced chauffeur-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bayeux and drive you to many stops related to the Normandy landings.
The first stop is La Cambe German war cemetery, the final resting place of more than 21,000 German military personnel of WWII.
The second stop is the famous Pointe du Hoc, a strategic point located on a 100ft cliff and captured by the Allied forces through a very difficult mission. German bunkers, as well as traces of the bombardment are still very much visible.
The third stop is the infamous Omaha Beach, which cost the lives of many young Allied soldiers. An expert guide will tell you all about how the landing happened and why there were so many casualties.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Overlord museum, which houses a collection of old tanks and other armored vehicles used during the war.
The last stop is the American Cemetery and the ceremony that takes places every day there.
To make this discovery entertaining and engaging for the children, and to help them understand what D-Day was all about, they will each get an educational game booklet.
At the end of the day, your chauffeur-guide will take you back to your hotel.
Attention: A supplement will be added and modifications to the program will be made if pick up and drop off is not in Bayeux.

Overview:
Take a walk through the medieval streets and visit abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel, followed by a private illumination hands-on workshop.

Description:
The Mont-Saint-Michel is truly a must see when visiting Normandy with your family. The iconic abbey and monastery on top of the island dominate a medieval fortified town of 50 inhabitants.
Meet your private, fully-licensed chauffeur-guide at your hotel in Bayeux and hop in a luxurious, fully-equipped V-class minivan to reach the Mont-Saint-Michel. After a 1.5-hour drive, you will reach the parking lot, and take a shuttle bus to the island (if time enables it, you can even walk there).
Follow your guide as he/she takes you through the narrow streets of this medieval town, all the way up to the abbey. After a detailed and fun-filled visit of the abbey and monastery, where many medieval monks used to copy and illuminate manuscripts back in the Middle-Ages before becoming a prison, your chauffeur-guide will take you to Avranches where you will take part in an interesting illumination hands-on workshop. Just like the medieval monks, you will create your own illumination which you can use as a page market or a decoration.

Once this 2 hour hands-on workshop is done, your chauffeur-guide will bring you back to your hotel in Bayeux.
Attention: A supplement will be added and modifications to the program will be made if pick up and drop off is not in Bayeux.
